Progress seems to be afoot with the long-awaited Terminator 5, with Paramount having reportedly entered talks to snap up the distribution rights for the prospective sequel. All has been quiet on the Terminator front since Skydance signed on to partner with production company Annapurna last December, but now it seems Paramount wants to step in and get things moving. Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier are currently hard at work on writing a script, and should Paramount's deal go through, we'd expect a director to be appointed in due course. Justin Lin had originally been attached to fill the d...

Arnold Schwarzenegger`s career renaissance continues apace, with the big man currently in talks to star in Steve Pink`s remake of The Toxic Avenger. Lady Gaga has a legion of followers she has affectionately dubbed her "little monsters." However one of her paid followers is taking the title literally. Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) is being sued by her former assistant/best friend, Jennifer O'Neil, who is claiming she was never paid overtime during the many years she worked for the singer. In a six-hour court session, the Born This Way singer fired a barrage of expletives at the woman she called "a f-cking hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn." During the course of the case - which Gaga claims is "bullsh-t, and you ...

Johns Vs. Jims - The Pop Culture Super Bowl2013-02-02 00:00:00

Already a month into 2013, some of us might be taking issue with the year`s deficit of opportunity for pop culture showdowns. Following a particularly fruitful autumn - one drenched in battles of political (Elephants Vs. Donkeys and Pizza Vs. Burritos), athletic (Tigers Vs. Giants), and fantastical (Edwards Vs. Jacobs and Trolls Vs. Dwarves) natures - the New Year has propagated quite a civil attitude on the pop culture front… save for an inceptive Babies Vs. Old Men mêlee. And while we saw a good deal of historic events hit the headlines in January - like pre...

There's something about Miley Cyrus that elicits a strong reaction in people. On Monday night, Brown posted to his Instagram account a painting of a rather burly Jesus being hung on the cross (pictured below) along with the caption, "Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!" While the parallel Brown is drawing between his current predicament and one that a certain rel...

Manti Te`o and the 'American Idol` Effect: Our Addiction to the Culture of Tragedy2013-01-23 00:00:00

The Manti Te`o story has many sports journalists feeling the irrevocable sting of not double-checking the details. In hindsight, it seems inconceivable. But the answer is simple. The story in which Te`o lost his girlfriend right after losing his grandmother and right before playing the best football of his Notre Dame career is prime for a movie a la Rudy or...

Scott Disick`s Secret Past as a Teen Book Model: Which Other Celebs Posed for Covers?2013-01-17 00:00:00

While many may consider Scott Disick - on-again-off-again beau and baby daddy to Kourtney Kardashian - too plastic to be considered dreamy, once upon a time he was a bonafide teen heartthrob. The evidence? His chiseled visage graced the covers of not just one, but a series of teen novels. inTouch has unearthed Disick's likeness on the cover of the Heartland series, by Lauren Brooke. Somehow it makes perfect sense to us that 12-year-old girls in 2001 would swoon over Disick while reading heartwarming tales of love and self-discovery set on a horse farm. What makes less sense is that Disick has ...

Here`s a little something that the beautiful people of Hollywood haven`t really figured out yet: Tattoos. Are. Permanent.
