A stranger being chased by bandits dies in an accident, but not before he has had a chance to hide a treasure map the bandits wanted. A boy witnesses where it was hidden, retrieves it and passes it on to the local preacher. The preacher recognizes that much of the treasure was likely that from a local mission. He sets out to get it before the bandits find it.

A Colorado sheriff pursues a ruthless gang of train robbers into New Mexico, where he has no official jurisdiction. Accompanying him is a motley posse, including a sharp-shooting gambler whose fiancee the gang has kidnapped.

The town of Douglas is, due to political wrangling between the two countries, about to change hands into Mexican territory. Tensions are running high as the native Americans are becoming increasingly paranoid about their future. This is understandable, as a certain Colonel Ferreras (Eduardo Fajardo) and his band of unwashed muchachos are increasingly harassing them. Despite their claims that they represent Mexico, these dirty fellows actually seem to be more interested in the large amount of gold that's kept secure within the local bank.

Reb Halland, who lived in the era of Wild West, has made a deal with the devil to gain immortality along with his gang. Preacher McCready is trying to protect the small town by placing five totems around it in the shape of the pentacle. One day, a collector passes by the town and sees one of the totems pinned to the earth, and he decides to take it. When the man takes the totem out of ground, Halland and his gang arrives and starts killing everyone, then commit ritual suicide. The film moves to the present day when a group of college students, who are driving back home from another city after a debate contest, suddenly find themselves at this town. Soon, they start to be murdered one by one, and it will be up to them to find the secret of the town and destroy Halland and his gang.

The western town of Headstone is being besieged by the outlaw Killer Pete and his gang. Arriving on the same stagecoach are the new Sheriff and easterner Belinda Pendergast, known as Bill. The new Sheirff is unable to catch Pete and Pete now sends him and the posse out of town where Indians wait in ambush while he and his men ride into town for a big raid. Bill, however, learns who Pete really is and has the townswomen ready to surprise them when they arrive.
