The NextIn each episode of THE NEXT, four music industry superstars -- Gloria Estefan, John Rich, Nelly, and Joe Jonas -- will drop in on the lives of four up-and-coming local musicians. The show will move from city to city: Orlando, Baltimore, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles. In each town the contestants will be local musical heroes with a huge regional following of devoted fans, as well as a formidable social media presence on Twitter and Facebook. Some have weekly residencies at the hottest clubs; others have performed in the opening slot at stadium-sized concerts. These aspiring stars are not plucked from obscurity; they are proven artists on the brink of success. They just need a little help making the leap from opening act to headliner. Over the course of 72 hours, each superstar will groom one contestant -- while taking over their lives. It’s one thing to work with a musical icon in the studio, it’s another thing to have him or her tagging along to your day job, eating every meal with you, and hanging with you at your local karaoke dive bar. When that 72-hour mentoring session is up, the four newly groomed artists will go head-to-head at a well-known local venue. The audience will be filled with friends and family, as well as hundreds of local music fans. Since they’ve already established themselves on the local music scene, each contestant will have their own throng of local groupies and cheerleaders. One winner will be chosen and that contestant will move on to represent their city in the semi-finals. Then it’s on to the next city and four more contestants. As an extra twist to the competition, even the contestants who don’t win in their home cities will still have a chance to compete in the finals – viewers across the country will be able to vote for their favorite among the performers who didn’t make the first cut, and the contestant with the most votes will go on to the finals. After six episodes in six different cities, each of the local winners and the fan favorite will battle it out on stage over the course of the final episodes until only one contestant remains -- the vocalist left standing at the end will be rewarded a recording contract with Atlantic Records.

| Big Brother (Australia)Twelve contestants, who have never met are challenged to stay in a house, cut off from any contact with the outside world for 85 days. There is a cash prize of $250,000 for the winner. The contestants are free to leave at any time, but if they do, they walk away empty-handed. Once a week the contestants nominate three members of the group for eviction, with viewers making the final decision, by way of a phone-in, of who will leave the house. Conditions inside the house are basic, but occupants earn money to supplement their rations if they all successfully complete weekly assignments, designed to test their team spirit. Over the weeks the numbers will be whittled away until eventually, one contestant will emerge victorious. In the meantime, the residents of the BIG BROTHER house have no idea of what the public thinks of them or what impact they are having on the world.

Cash CabThe player keeps answering questions trying not to get any wrong. If they get three incorrect answers, then the cab pulls over and they are dropped off wherever they are. They lose any money they would have won. The first four questions are worth $25 each, the next four questions are worth $50, and any question thereafter are worth $100. If a contestant has won more than $200 and the cab is forced to stop at a traffic light, the driver will start a Red Light Challenge. The driver will read a question that has multiple correct answers (usually five or more), and the passenger will then have 30 seconds to give a designated number of those answers (usually all five). Doing so is worth an additional $250 to the fare, and failure to answer the question will not count as a strike, so there is no risk. The passenger is allowed two "Shout-Outs" during the course of the trip, and each type can be used only once. The first type is the Mobile Shout-Out, in which the contestant is allotted a phone call to a friend by means of the driver's cell phone. The player is allowed to ask their friend the question and acquire what they think is the correct answer, however, there is a 30 second time limit. The other is the Street Shout-Out. If the passenger chooses to use this one, the driver will stop at the first person he sees and will let the fare ask the person the question and what they think the correct answer is, but there is no time limit for this question. Although there is no time limit, often times the pedestrian does not know the answer. Should the passenger reach the destination, the driver offers the passenger a choice. The passenger has the option of keeping the prize money and leaving the cab, or the choice of answering a final, more difficult, visual question that, if answered correctly, doubles the fare's winnings. However, if the passenger chooses to answer the final question and provides an incorrect answer, the game show host keeps all the money the passenger won previously. Three games are usually played per episode.

Picked OffWeekend pickers go head-to-head in a series of elimination challenges to find items they think will fetch top market value. Four teams begin with $100 each to spend on one item and the clock is ticking. Teams dig through barns and meet interesting characters all in pursuit of the perfect pick. It takes more than knowledge and a good eye to win this competition. Teams will need to be just as strategic as the pro pickers and just as tough at hardcore negotiating if they're going to out-wheel and out-deal their opponents. The pressure is on as they hunt for treasure and race back to the Dealers' Room, where judges Todd and Ethan Merrill put a retail value on each item. The team whose item brings in the lowest appraisal gets picked off and goes home. The remaining teams go on to the next challenge - this time with their profit from the first challenge. In the third and final challenge, the two remaining teams compete for a winner-take-all $10,000 grand prize.
