The Legend Of The Three Trees is a superbly produced, animated folktale of three distinct trees (an Oak, an Olive, and a Pine) and the roles they played in the story of Jesus. Each tree began with their own particular dreams and aspirations -- but met with what seemed to be bitter disappointment, only to emerge with truly unique roles in "the greatest story ever told". Hal Holbrook's narration is nothing short of masterful, the quality of the animation is flawless, and the story is totally engaging from beginning to end.

Joey Cooper is a small boy who wants more than anything to be a member of the "Wilderness Club." But he has failed over and over again to pass the test and was not allowed to join. But when Joey gets home after his latest failure, he finds his mother has bought him all new camping equipment for his trip. Joey can't bring himself to tell her he didn't make the club so he takes the gear and leaves for the trip anyway, hiding on the bus. When a couple of kidnappers grab the kids, Joey is still in hiding and it's left for Joey to save them all.

However, Pilot is determined to get her puppies back, and the Lowry Family must endure a comical series of events that make them realize that life is just not the same without the puppies. But retrieving six puppies from people you don't even know is no easy task. And soon, Tom Lowry finds he must choose between his job or his family. With Pilot in the lead, the Lowry's set off on a quest to retrieve Pilot's puppies - an adventure that ultimately leads them into the realization of what it really means to be a family.
