QuartetCecily, Reggie, and Wilfred are in a home for retired musicians. Every year, on October 10, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday and they take part. Jean, who used to be married to Reggie, arrives at the home and disrupts their equilibrium. She still acts like a diva, but she refuses to sing. Still, the show must go on... and it does.

| Queens of Diamonds and HeartsKing Chai (Roger Kwok) is the inept ruler of Qi, a state surrounded by larger neighbours and beset with hidden internal and overt external threats. The guardian spirits of Qi come to the aid of Qi and King Chai by arranging for Chung Mo Yim (Fala Chen) to become the Queen of Qi. Chung Mo Yim is skilled in magic, martial arts and the use of strategms, however she has been born with a prominent birth mark on her face and King Chai finds her ugly. The opponents of Qi in turn arrange for King Chai to become infatuated with Ha Ying Chun (Sharon Chan). King Chai takes both Chung Mo Yim and Ha Ying Chun as co-wives, with Chung Mo Yim becoming Queen of the East Palace and Ha Ying Chun becoming Queen of the West Palace.
Although naive and kind hearted Ha Ying Chun is jinxed by Qi's enemies and all of King Chai's attempts to please her lead to disaster after disaster, problems that only Chung Mo Yim can defuse and fix. Although originally she only married King Chai out of duty to the people and nation of Qi, Chung Mo Yim comes to desire to be more than King Chai's troubleshooter and a wife in name only.

Tie Xiong is in love with a girl named Ke Er, who is an anime/manga cosplay fanatic. To get closer to her, he learned handicraft, joined cosplay club, and cross-dressed as Saber. He didn't get the girl. What he got for his beautiful face and feminine-ish new hobbies was being her new best friend, a nickname of "Teddy Bear," and an unwanted rumor that he is gay. And the most depressing of all, he ended up helping her chase after school basketball player Yong Jun. That was when he realized, he had went about the wrong way for her heart. She wanted a sweaty-smelling manly man and not a little sweet teddy bear.
Just when all the setbacks made him want to give up, he found light in a manga called, "The Real Man." A chance encounter with the artist Lin Fu Nan confirmed that this manly author would be his savior.

Quite ContraryMary is eager to make a strong positive impression at her new out-of-town job interview. But from the start, fate seems to be working against her. She takes care to have the hotel deliver a wake-up call, but the call comes late, forcing her to scramble to get showered and dressed. Repeated attempts to hail a taxi on the busy streets come to naught, eventually leading her to make the trek to the office on foot. Once arriving at the empty office lobby, she calls for an elevator, only to have it suddenly flooded to capacity with a stream of morning workers; she has to take the stairs. But despite the setbacks, she manages to make it to the office on time for her long-awaited interview. But if Mary was anxious to make a good impression, the staff seem determined to make a poor one. The receptionist delivers profanity over the phone with an ever-present smile, and then explodes at Mary for a perceived slight. Workers storm by in heated argument. And once the interview itself commences, Mr. Brown, the interviewer, goes off on personal tirades that digress into completely irrelevant directions. And throughout it all, nobody allows Mary to utter a single syllable. When she finally does manage to speak, she certainly makes an impression of her own.
