Xia Tian, Jia Jiang, Fang Wei, Bulu all four grew up on Westside Street together and currently study in Ying Ye School. One month away from graduation. Xia Tian's dad is a police officer in Westside Street and is retiring tomorrow. But just on that day, they all had a fight with the Dinosaur gang in the school and were almost expelled by the principal. Officer Xia went to settle the conflict and not only did it not get settled, his gun got misplaced by the principal too. Everyone thus discussed things over and decided that AJ they all will remain in the school and they must find the gun within the one month of graduation to let Officer Xia retire peacefully and happily. Jia Jiang, Fang Wei and Bulu then can successfully graduate. While finding the missing gun, they discovered that a ex-convict Grey Wolf who escaped from prison is possibly connected with the missing gun and even more surprisingly, the Grey Wolf is actually having close communication and contact with students in Ying Ye. ..

The story is about a set of twin baby boys who were created/cloned in the laboratory as a part of gene altering/gene therapy experiment. Because of the nature of the project, the twins were born with superior physical strength, supernatural powers and extremely high IQ. Unfortunately, the twins were separated at birth. One of the brothers, Sei, grew up to be an elite bio-chemistry scientist in America. He was assigned to a project where he has to travel to a small island in Japan to investigate an unidentified virus that is spreading on the island. By a freak of nature, he found out that he has a twin brother, Rin, whose evil, dark personality is entirely opposite of him. What is going to happen when they finally meet face to face? WHat are their true identities? Why were they separated at birth, what other secrets are hidden from them? Does the fast spreading virus has anything to do with the twins? Who created them? And why?

Weeks after Chan Ho Nam (Ekin Cheng) is elected branch leader of Causeway Bay of the "Hung Hing" Society, "Chicken" Chiu (Jordan Chan), after joined the Taiwanese "San Luen" triad, is reinstated into Hung Hing by Chairman Chiang Tin Sung (Simon Yam). At the same time, rival triad "Tung Sing", led by "Camel" Lok (Chan Wai Man) begins to make a name for itself, establishing bars and clubs alongside Hung Hing's areas of operations. Things become heated when Tung Sing member "Crow" (Roy Cheung) fuels a deep-seated rivalry between him and Ho Nam, with the threat of open war between the two societies. Meanwhile, Ho Nam's stuttering girlfriend Smartie (Gigi Lai), who was critically injured in a vehicular accident and slipped into a coma, reawakens but with no prior memories to her meeting with Ho Nam for the first time. Regardless, Ho Nam assures her he and his friends will protect her. To add in a stick of comedy, Father "Lethal Weapon" Lam (Spencer Lam) introduces his daughter Shuk Fan (Karen Mok) to Chicken, having been good friends and a source of advice for him.

In a flashback to Young and Dangerous, "Chicken" Chiu (Jordan Chan) heads into exile and decides to go to Taiwan, after a failed hit. The first part of the movie details the events leading up to his return to Hong Kong, following the death of his boss "Uncle Bee" (Frankie Ng). In Taipei, Chicken's cousin introduces him to the "San Luen" Triad, headed by an influential Taiwanese senator. Although the atmosphere in the city is quite different than Hong Kong, Chicken gains the senator's favor by assassinating his rival. Pleased with the youth's initiative, he promotes Chicken to branch leader and does not even mind Chicken having been smitten with his beautiful mistress. Upon hearing news of Bee's death, Chicken returns to Hong Kong and helps best friend Chan Ho Nam (Ekin Cheng) to get rid of corrupt "Hung Hing" Chairman "Ugly Kwan" (Francis Ng).

Chicken did not return for this film and Chan Ho Nam is on his own. He finds a beautiful new love interest, (Shu Qi) and has to deal with some young "Tung Sing" triad members trying to make something of themselves. Young and Dangerous 5 happens during the transfer of Hong Kong sovereignty to China. We see a transition of the "boys" becoming "men" as they develop maturity and go into more business-like dealings.

Beginning in 1985, teenagers Chan Ho Nam (Ekin Cheng), his best friends "Chicken" Chiu (Jordan Chan), Tai Tin Yee (Michael Tse), Pou Pee (Jerry Lamb) and older brother Chow Pee (Jason Chu) idolize the local "Hung Hing" Society and one of its leaders, "Uncle Bee" (Ng Chi Hung). When Ho Nam and his friends are beaten by Hung Hing's "Ugly Kwan" (Francis Ng) and his men following a misunderstanding, they decide to join the society, following Bee. Ten years later in 1995, Ho Nam and his buddies have established themselves as Bee's enforcers, performing their first successful hit on Kwan's right-hand "Ba Bai" (Joe Chen). At the same time, Brother Fai Hung has the stuttering Smartie (Gigi Lai) carjack Ho Nam's Toyota MR2 and demands payment, but unfortunately she gets caught by Ho Nam and his friends and is punished by eating dozens of Chinese barbecue pork buns.

The film focuses on a branch leader position has opened up in Chicken's group and he is up against Barbarian to get it. The "Hung Hing" triad has to deal with finding a new successor to be the head of the Hung Hing group and they get the old boss' brother who resides in Thailand. Young and Dangerous 4 also brings in new characters in the "Hung Hing" group such as Ben Hon, Sister 13, and Prince.

A family on a road trip comes across a car accident, and pulls over to help the driver of the car. It turns out that the driver is a fugitive, who hijacks the family's car. Pointing a gun at the father's head, the fugitive commands him to step on the gas and drive off. Guided by the fugitive, they soon encounter a blockade on the highway, so they take a road into the woods. All of a sudden, the car's navigation system monitor turns blood red. The blip on the monitor seems to be moving around in a sea of blood. Then the car breaks down for no apparent reason, and they're stuck in the woods. The fugitive tells the father to go look for tools to fix the car with, while he holds the rest of the family hostage. Having no choice, the father starts walking. Soon, the father finds a ghost village. He walks up to the top of a hill from where he can look down at the village. It looks like there's a cemetery up on the hill. He digs in the ground, and finds a rusty knife. He brings the knife up to his throat, and cuts off his own head. Blood splatters. The decapitated head falls down onto a tomb, and blood runs into the ground. After a moment, a razor-sharp Japanese sword comes out of the ground, and then an eerie samurai warrior crawls out of it. The samurai zombie chops up the father's head, then starts heading for the car. Meanwhile, the rest of the family and the fugitive have wandered into the woods. Their presence here is no accident - they were summoned. A rain of blood is about to wash everything in the village away with a curse and vengeance!
