Two years ago, five high-school boys brought fame to a small town in Japan. What was so unique was that they formed a "men's synchronized swimming club." Their involvement and struggles while learning synchronized swimming - known to be a sport for girls - brought much attention to their school and town. Two years have passed since that summer, and the boys of Tadano High School are still in the club. The Fuji Television drama "Water Boys" shows how these young boys fight to learn synchronized swimming, fall in love, and enjoy friendship with one another.

Hasegawa is interested in her and invites her to come to his company. Haruka is dissatisfied with her current company, and feels herself wavering. One day, she loses her temper at her detested superior. Defiantly declaring that she is quitting, Haruka storms out. In the end she learns that reality is harsh … … At that moment, Tadokoro calls out to her. It is also the work of the car who has somehow got through to her. Haruka, who has slowly become proactive because of the car’s “meddling”, is gradually able to confer with the car as if it were her only good friend.
