The leader of Flying Tiger Mountain sect, Dou Ling Kan, and his godson, Tie Mo Le, just happen to be passing through a small town and by its most popular hangout when a ruckus inside catches their attention. It turns out that the entire place has been bought out by Wang Long Ke, an underling of An Lu Shan. Wang Long Ke's motive is to steal a secret letter from Guo Zi Yi meant for Emperor Xuan Zong indicating that An Lu Shan is planning to rebel against the Tang dynasty. Tie Mo Le has always wanted to avenge his parents' death at the hands of An Lu Shan many years ago and realizes that his chance may have finally arrived.

It gives a glimpse into China's contemporary urban middle classes. It won the Sterling Feature Award at Silverdocs in 2007. In November 2007, Please Vote for Me was named by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as one of 15 films on its documentary feature Oscar shortlist. The list was narrowed to five films on January 22, 2008,[2] but Please Vote for Me did not make it to the final five.

A story of 6 days with 5 people gathered around a small sparkling pool at Chiang Mai in Thailand. 4 years ago, Kyoko started to live in Thailand and has been working in a Guest house outside in Chiang Mai, leaving her mother and her daughter Sayo, in Japan. Just before the graduation of University, Sayo sets foot on Thailand to visit her mother with mixed feelings. However, emotional experiences with the people living there changes such feelings toward her mother.

Peco (real name Yutaka Hoshino) and Smile (real name Makoto Tsukimoto) are members of Katase High table tennis club. Peco is charismatic and has a passion for the sport, while Smile is introverted. Tsukimoto's friends in the table tennis club nicknamed him "Smile" as he does not smile often. The movie is surprisingly complex, artistic, and there are also many parallels to Street Fighter, which is on the shirt of Peco after his first interhigh tournament loss. The characters have known each other, and Demon (Akuma 悪魔, real name Manabu Sakuma), since primary school. Despite Smile's greater natural talent, he sees the sport as simply a way to pass the time, and often lets less able players such as Peco beat him out of consideration for their feelings.
