In the town of Karasume, most of the lands are owned by Kurosawa Bunzo, the head of the Kurosawa family and the owner of a real estate and construction company called 'Kurosawa'. Though Bunzo is much hated by the people of Karasume, due to his greed and profiteering ways, no one dares to stand up to him. The townsfolk came up with the saying, "Kurosawa loves alcohol, money and women". Bunzo has 3 sons, the eldest being Mitsuru, who was born to his first wife. Followed by Isao and Ryo, who are the sons of his second wife, Shiori. Mitsuru is currently unemployed and is debt-ridden, and thus leads a miserable, tight lifestyle living together with Endo Kanako. While, Isao who graduated from a prestigious law school and passed his bar examinations in one sitting, is now working for a law firm in Tokyo. Ryo is studying to be a psychiatrist, and is now in his fourth year of medical school. He lives in a dormitory near his hometown. One day, Bunzo is found dead in his bedroom, under very suspicious circumstances. The police rounded up all three sons, and brings them in for some voluntary questioning. The detective already knows each of their motives for killing Bunzo, where it all started 2 weeks before the murder at the Kurosawa family meeting...

Amamiya Kuniyuki is the unemployed son of a tonkatsu restaurant owner. He finds a job that requires a married person, so he lies by saying that he has plans to marry, and he is forced to keep up the charade using Hida Haruno, a part-time worker from the restaurant. The relationship between the two is the key of this romantic comedy, though the series also focuses on family and friendship through Nakai's interactions with the other characters.

Based on the essay Oretachi wa Kazoku (We are Family) by Ohara Kenshiro, Kokuchisezu, is about a surgeon Hasegawa Seji (Watari Tetsuya) whose mantra is to tell patients not to give up right to the very end when he announces their illness to them, finds it being tested when his wife Toko (Takahata Atsuko) is diagnosed with cancer of the small intestine. Ryo (Takizawa Hideaki), their son who is training as a houseman, knows of his mother?s illness. He and his father, who can?t bring himself to tell Toko, struggle to find an answer.

Muraki Shingo of Itamae, a top Ginza restaurant, becomes a substitute teacher at Aikawa High School in his hometown of Mie Prefecture at the request of his childhood friend, Kishino Hiroshi, a town hall employee. Kishino intends to open a “High School Restaurant” to revitalise the town, and has asked Shingo to teach cooking. There are about 30 people in the culinary club. Among them are Sakamoto Yosuke, a third-year student who is respected by the club’s members and whose family runs a restaurant that sells set menus, and Yonemoto Mai, second-year student who adores him. When Shingo visits the kitchen, the members are making hamburgers and crepes as they please. However, the floor is dirty and ingredients are being used wastefully, as if it were a school festival. Seeing that, Shingo barely offers a greeting as he first points out that Yosuke’s tempura is no good. He also scolds the members harshly. “First, we’ll clean up. Those who find it a turnoff can leave, but in that case, you don’t have to come from tomorrow.” Students start to walk out in the face of Shingo’s attitude, and only 18 remain, including Yosuke and Mai. After the cleaning, Yosuke asks Shingo for the reason why his tempura is not good. Shingo’s answer is a surprise. “You’re left-handed. Get accustomed to using both the kitchen knife and cooking chopsticks with your right hand.” “I don’t know, but that teacher is genuine.” Yosuke reflects and decides to follow Shingo. They are to hold a rehearsal for the opening on one Saturday. The menu that Shingo has set is a grated yam rice bowl using Ise yam, a local specialty. Yosuke is ordered to prepare the stock according to Shingo’s instructions. Then, the day of the rehearsal comes. An incident occurs which causes a definite rift between Shingo and the members!

A police squad led by Detective Amino arrives at a warehouse, where workers are being attacked by a platoon of Ghouls. When rookie Detective Rinko Daimon and the police are outmatched by the Phantom Minotauros and his forces, Haruto Sohma arrives at the scene and transforms into Kamen Rider Wizard to combat the threat. He swiftly dispatches the Ghouls and breaks one of Minotauros' horns, forcing the Phantom to retreat. After summoning his Plamonsters to search for Minotauros, Haruto is confronted by Rinko. He explains to her that humans with magic potential, known as Gates, are being targeted by Phantoms, who are Gates themselves that have given in to their own despair. Demanding more information from him and seeing him as a potential threat, she arrests him. At the police station, Rinko is informed by Amino - who now wears a bandage around his head - and their superior that they are dropping the case due to their inability to handle the threat. On her way to free Haruto, Koyomi passes by both Rinko and Amino, and detects a strange aura within the latter. The Blue Unicorn Plamonster breaks into Haruto's cell to deliver him a message from Koyomi, warning him that Amino is the Phantom. After deducing that Rinko is the Gate, he promptly uses the Small Magic Ring to shrink himself and ride on Blue Unicorn to break out of jail. Meanwhile at a park, Rinko explains to Amino that she became a detective because her father was a policeman himself. Suddenly, Amino grabs Rinko's locket and slaps her to the ground before revealing himself to be Minotauros and stomping on the locket, forcing her into despair. Haruto and Koyomi arrive to intervene; while Koyomi looks after Rinko, Haruto transforms into Kamen Rider Wizard to battle the Phantom. Kamen Rider Wizard uses his Land Style and Hurricane Style attacks before finishing off Minotauros with Flame Style's Strike Wizard Rider Kick. When Rinko's body begins to show signs that a Phantom will break out from her, Kamen Rider Wizard places an Engage Ring on her right hand and enters her Underworld to neutralize it using his Winger Wizardragon and the Wizarswordgun. No longer a Gate, Rinko wakes up on a park bench and looks at the Engage Ring on her hand, while Haruto and Koyomi ride back home

In the ecologically-minded city of Futo, there are many windmills and the people live in harmony. However, the Sonozaki Family sell mysterious devices resembling USB flash drives called Gaia Memories to criminals who use them to become monsters called Dopants, committing crimes with the police force powerless to stop them. The hard-boiled (or rather half-boiled) detective Shotaro Hidari works with the mysterious Philip who possesses the true Gaia Memory. Using their own Gaia Memories, Shotaro and Philip use the Double Driver belts to transform and combine into Kamen Rider W (Double) to fight the Dopant menace.
