After Seo Haneul (Sung Yuri) lost her mother in a fire, she was later adopted by a wealthy family and experienced a life of many twists and turns. Seo Gun's father had married an unwed mother, thus making Seo Haneul his sister in the eyes of the law. After their parents passed away, Seo Haneul was adopted by a wealthy chairman of a large organization who has also became a gangster. Upon using Haneul to extort money, Seo Gun and Haneul slowly fall in love with each other.

Jin-soo works at a local weather channel as an anchorman. His life is pretty simple until the day he got into a car accident. Fortunately he didn’t get any serious physical injuries but he’s suffering from partial amnesia. Trying to get back to his normal life, he finds clues about a woman that he seemed to have had a lot of feeling for in the pass. With only a few hints, Jin-soo decides to search out the identity of this woman. His investigation will lead him to Yeon-hee, a girl friend he knew since high school. With the help of Yeon-hee, Jin-soo will start to put together the pieces of the puzzle but will soon start to loose interest in that mysterious passed loved women as he now found someone who seems to really care about him in the person of Yeon-hee.

Mi-Ja is a 32 years old spinster. She lives with her grandmother and her grandmother’s two sisters. There’s also a widowed uncle that lives in their home as well his never before married son. Mija’s chance for success finally arrives when she is hired as a voice-over artist for a Japanese horror movie that is being re-released in Korea. While working as a dubbing artist, she quickly falls in love with Ji-Hyun, the notoriously mean producer that is overseeing their project. While Ji-Hyun doesn’t give the slightest hint that he is even remotely interested in her, Mija still feels that there is a special type of chemistry that exists between them. Because of this, Mija decides to follow her instincts to find true love, even if it means making a total embarrassment out of herself. Making things more difficult for Mija is the fact that her former boyfriend and his new girlfriend also work at the same studio.

Yu-jeong, a suicidal young woman, is introduced to a man on death row named Yun-soo by her aunt, Sister Monica. Raised by an abusive father, Yun-soo has led a hard life. It got even harder when he was left in an orphanage with his younger brother after his father's suicide and his mother's abandonment. Growing up in the gutter, he became involved in a violent crime, for which he was convicted of three counts of murder. Yu-jeong, on the other hand, comes from a rich family. However, her childhood was marred by traumatic neglect, which has led to her self-destructive impulses. These two wounded souls slowly open their hearts and find the motivation to live on in each other's compassion. Yu-jeong realizes how spoiled her life has been compared to Yun-soo's, and embraces his guilt that would otherwise never be forgiven.

Once a professional Korean handball player, Mi-sook is now working in a retail store after her team disbanded. Hae-kyung, now playing as a coach for a handball team in Japan, returns to Korea to become the replacement coach for Korea’s national team. In order to improve the team she asks her former teammates, including Mi-sook, to join the team and regain their past glory. Hae-kyung has them training hard, but the younger player’s don’t adapt well to her old school style. Dissention becomes so strong that players become involved in physical confrontations. Because of this, Hae-Kyung is asked to step down as the coach and a new coach Seung-pil takes her place. With encouragement from Misook, Hae-Kyung now swallows her pride and rejoins the team as a player. Seung-pil used to be a famous handball player but now is adapting to the role of a coach. He implements a more scientific program and european style training program that faces more resistance from the players. The team’s ability to compete in the Olympics becomes more distant with each passing day.
