Three American college students, Dick, his sister Jessica, and her British boyfriend Kevin, are traveling through Brazil on vacation when Dick, after attending a bizarre voodoo ceremony, develops strange powers. When their jeep breaks down near a small plantation in the jungle outside Rio, the site of a former slave rebellion 150 years ago, Dick uses his powers to raise the dead of six executed Negro slaves whom target the college kids and the residents of the plantation to seek revenge for their deaths.

Dissection of an Olive is a quirky, locally-produced film about Olive, nicknamed "Livi" (Kaelynn Hong). The twenty-something screenwriter types her protagonist, Mikiah (Chris Clarke), as a 42-year-old actor, who unfolds Livi's exposition as he experiences his. The film aimed to explicate/dissect the title character who, like her yard-camping, singing-telegramming mother (Laura Fair-Schultz), struggles with intimacy, stability and grieving.

Shirase Mari and Endo Natsumi are violinists in the same orchestra. They both work hard, but Natsumi becomes pregnant and quits playing the violin. She soon marries the cellist in the orchestra. Kenta (Ryuta Sato) doesn't have a regular job. He then learns that he has take care of his nephew Taichi for the foreseeable future. Taichi is the son of Kenta's deceased older sister and is in the 3rd grade. Taichi then begins to live with Kenta. One day, Kenta finds a mysterious drop of sugar which belongs to Taichi. If the mysterious drop is eaten, that person's strength and senses becomes 10x stronger for the next 10 minutes. Kenta's friend, Police Officer Shunji (Takashi Tsukamoto) learns of the candy and forces Kenta to become a hero and solve cases.
